London, Dec. 22 : With their current poor form, it is Manchester United that should be missing Cristiano Ronaldo but the Real Madrid striker has revealed that a piece of his heart is still at Old Trafford.
“What people think about me is their opinion but I really miss Manchester a bit. I played there for six years and I left a few friends there. So I miss the club a little bit but I’m focused now at Real Madrid and I’m really happy there,” The Sun quoted Ronaldo, as saying.
Although Ronaldo moved to Spain for a fee of 80 million pounds last summer, he still follows United closely.
“I think they are doing very well this season. They have lost two [of their past three] games, but they are still second in the league,” he said.
Ronaldo reckons that United and Real have to play catch-up with the all-conquering Barcelona team.
“They have won everything this year so have to be the best club at the moment. They have a style of play and players who have been together for many years,” he said.
“But we will do at our best at Madrid to win the league and Champions League. It’s going to be difficult but, in football, everything is possible if you work hard and dedicate yourself to that endeavour,” he added. (ANI)
