Taylor Swift, artist of the year at ACM awards
Taylor Swift won the award for entertainer of the year Sunday at the ACM awards country music beating Keith Urban, Brad Paisley and the main winner of the night, Miranda Lambert. Swift was nominated in four categories and this was the only prize was, but it is most important. The 21-year-old looked excited and nervous when he said he was totally surprised to have won. It is the first time Swift gets the most prestigious recognition of the ACM, which elects the public. For its part Lambert won the award for best song for''The House That Built Me.'' The piece written by Allen Shamblin and Tom Douglas, who also won the award for best single and best video. Lambert also earned a Grammy for best presentation of a female country artist and won the award for song of the year of the Country Music Association. Allen''and Tom, thanks for writing the song of the year,''Lambert said after winning the award for best single. Lady Antebellum received three awards including artist and album of the year for''Need You Now.'' Group members held on stage after his friend Lambert announced the winners. Thanks''Miranda Lambert for winning last year and not be in this category,''said Charles Kelley of Lady A. Soon after, Lady A was recognized as the best vocal group of the year. Perry Band The group won the award for best new artist, soon after his successful singing''If I Die Young.'' The trio of two brothers and a sister also was recognized as the best new vocal group before the show. Zac Brown Band The band was nominated for five awards, and won the award for vocal performance of the year with Alan Jackson for their collaboration on''As She's Walking Away.'' Brad Paisley began the ACM accompanied by three members of the group Alabama friends who followed him in his new song''Old Alabama,''which immediately turned to the public.
