Miley Cyrus, delighted with the success of Liam Hemsworth

The 22-year-old who plays Gale Hawthorn in the film 'The Hunger Games' - in which teens are forced to fight to the death - says his girlfriend Miley Cyrus will face planted on each shift.

"I probably win it. It's a strong girl," he said.

The film, based on the trilogy by Suzanne Collins, has attracted a large following, so Liam has turned to his older brother, Chris, for advice on how to deal with so much attention.

"It's like a blow to the head. My brother has always been a role model for me. I try to learn from him all I can," he told People magazine at the premiere last night in Los Angeles.

Meanwhile, Miley says she loves to see such displays of admiration for her boyfriend.

Casting Call for Finnick Odair

        With The Hunger Games coming to cinemas in two months, fans of the book are left to wonder who would play as the playful & gorgeous Finnick Odair in the upcoming movie sequel, Catching Fire. Many have cast their votes but a decision is yet to be made. Perhaps, the coming of Finnick is most anticipated.

So why is the casting selection for Finnick so important? Let's see. Just by his description in the book: 

Finnick Odair is something of a living legend in Panem. Since he won the Sixty-fifth Hunger Games when he was only fourteen (now, he's 24), he's still one of the youngest victors. Being from District 4, he was a Career, so the odds were already in his favor, but what no trainer could claim to have given him was his extraordinary beauty. Tall, athletic, with golden skin and bronze-colored hair and those incredible eyes (famous sea green eyes).

Even Katniss Everdeen described him in this way:

I can't argue that Finnick isn't one of the most stunning, sensuous people on the planet. But I can honestly say he's never been attractive to me. Maybe he's too pretty, or maybe he's too easy to get, or maybe it's really that he'd just be too easy to lose.

        If that isn't enough to convince how important his beauty is in the book, I don't know what. I mean, that's just for his beauty alone how much more for his role in the entire series.

But anyway, here's my list:

• Chace Crawford:

Of course, we can't have the perfect handsome bronze-haired and sea-green eyed guy. But, Chace Crawford do have that charm and playful look fit for Finnick Odair. Just for the hair and the eyes, something could always be done about that like how Jennifer Lawrence (as Katniss Everdeen) & Liam Hemsworth (as Gale Hawthorn) dyed their hair brown from blonde and Josh Hutcherson (as Peeta Mellark) from brown to blonde on the other hand, not to mention working his arms out making them bulge big to make him fit for the role as a baker's son. Wait, that's too many segway. So anyway, honestly, I haven't watched a single show by Chace. So I don't know how he acts. That left me basing him on his looks alone. :) And his looks can kill!

• Garrett Hedlund:

Garrett has mesmerizing blue eyes instead of sea-green. Although Garrett is not the cutesy type of boy Finnick is, he is oozing with charisma on-screen. Of course, he's gorgeous! I watched him play as Patroclus for the 2004 film Troy and as Sam Flinn in his lead-role in Tron Legacy. He's definitely hot! And especially hot with his acting. He's not like some handsome boy passing for a role just for the looks. He's one great actor. (Wait, am I trying to hit someone with a hammer?) Moreover, if we could only make Olivia Wilde his partner again (they pair up in Tron Legacy) as Annie for the movie, they'd be very compatible as they're already comfortable with each other plus some watchers could already relate to them.

• Benjamin Stone:

Like Chace, I am yet to know this Benjamin Stone. So it just took me like 4 seconds to type his name in google and voila! His smile is very captivating! Just look at that picture, it's smoldering hot! Of course, I chose the best one I saw. I was already smitten and take note (!) his teeth weren't even shown.

• Freddie Stroma:

Little is known of this Freddie Stroma as he only somehow became visible playing as Cormac McLaggen in Harry Potter series. Well, I stand by his looks.:P Segway: Cormac McLaggen is senior to Harry by a year. He is a member of Slughorn's Slug Club.

• Justin Hartley:

Just like Finnick Odair, Justin Hartley is screaming sexy all over his body. Especially the voice. Finnick has a seductive voice and thus, Justin is just fit for the role.


Honestly, a younger version of Chris Hemsworth (Gale actor, Liam Hemsworth's older brother) would be perfect for the role. But sadly, he's way too old (but not that old) to be Finnick Odair.

Since this whole casting thing had been going on for a year already, many had become people's favorites. Although I like them, I just don't see them fit as Finnick Odair. But let's include them here:

Yes, just 3 years and he would grow from a destestable 5'6 to a brooding 6'2! Imagine the growth spurt! It's not just about the height but also his body. Really, he has such an awesome gene pool. He has a sexy built to home a tongue-licking package of six-pack abs. Oh my, I'm already drooling just by the thought. Of course, we won't stop just with the abdominal muscles, it's his whole body. Certainly, Alexander Ludwig is one heck of a fit guy! No, not just fit but a hella gorgeous one!

He originally auditioned for the role of Peeta Mellark in his upcoming movie. But the casting crew thought better of him to be an antagonist of the story. I think it has something to do with his looks. He looks too badass to be the kind person Peeta is.

Josh Hutcherson is very much vertically challenged. Jennifer Lawrence, his love interest in The Hunger Games series is even taller than him by a couple of inches! But what he lacks in his height he makes up for his communication skills. He's a good conversationalist and he's very articulate with his words. You would never be bored with his interviews. It's because of this talent that he can deliver his lines so well and thus, the good acting. That's how he earned his role as Peeta Mellark for the movie franchise. Sure, there are lots of other actors (especially the tall, much good-looking ones) who went to audition, but he beat them all. So guys, never judge a person by his height but by the things he can do. (lol, whut?) :))
